Finasia Capital Participates in Citi-Led Workshop on ECA Financing to Strengthen Advisory Capability
Finasia Capital participated in a Citi Bank–led workshop focused on Export Credit Agency (ECA) financing, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to continuous professional development and to supporting Uzbekistan’s expanding engagement with international funding markets.
The session brought together almost the entire Finasia Capital London office in person, with most of the Tashkent team joining online. Finasia Capital was led by CEO Odilbek Isakov, reflecting continued leadership-level involvement in building institutional expertise across the firm.
Citi-hosted ECA financing workshop
ECA-backed financing is increasingly relevant for corporates and financial institutions seeking longer-tenor funding, risk mitigation, and access to international liquidity—particularly for projects linked to strategic imports, infrastructure, and priority industrial investments. For Uzbekistan, strengthening familiarity with these structures supports broader market integration and credibility-building with global lenders and investors.
During the workshop, Citi specialists covered the core mechanics of ECA financing, including key transaction structures, eligibility and coverage considerations, stakeholder roles, documentation requirements, and typical execution timelines. The discussion also explored practical execution topics, market best practices, and the evolving role of ECAs in emerging-market financing.

Through active involvement in high-quality training and partner-led initiatives, Finasia Capital remains focused on strengthening Uzbekistan’s integration into global capital markets and fostering long-term international partnerships.
