This week, Finasia Capital was honoured to be one of the sponsors of the National Day Reception marking the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, hosted by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London at The Peninsula London.
It was an evening that brought together diplomacy, culture and community in equal measure. His Excellency Ambassador Ravshan Usmanov welcomed guests alongside the Rt Hon Sir Lindsay Hoyle, Speaker of the House of Commons, and Ozodbek Nazarbekov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Culture, who also addressed attendees.
The cultural programme featured performances by Sevara Nazarkhan, Bakhrom Nazarov, Toir Kuziev and the SAFO Group, and the Tumor Ensemble, bringing Uzbek music and dance to the heart of London. No celebration of this kind would have been complete without a ceremonial plov, shared among guests as the evening drew to a close.
Finasia Capital's senior leadership team attended the reception, joining fellow sponsors, diplomats, business leaders and members of the Uzbek community in London to mark this significant milestone for Uzbekistan.
Supporting Uzbekistan's presence on the international stage is close to what we do every day. As a London-based corporate finance and credit advisory firm, Finasia Capital works alongside leading Uzbek companies and banks to connect them with international capital markets, from Eurobond issuances to credit ratings and syndicated financing. Standing with the Embassy and the wider Uzbek community to celebrate independence was a natural extension of that work and a reminder of why it matters.
We would like to thank the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the invitation and for organising such a memorable evening. We look forward to many more occasions to celebrate Uzbekistan's achievements together.
